BRBC - About Us

“GREEN” to BRBC means healthy, sustainable and eco-friendly.
By healthy we mean low or no VOC’s (volatile organic compound
such as formaldehyde known to cause respiratory problems and
even cancer). VOC are found in paint, plywood, stains, finishes for
wood and carpet just to name a few. Ventilate to keep you
breathing fresh air not stale and unhealthy air and to reduce the
growth of mold and mildew witch contribute to respiratory problems
as well. By sustainable we mean a product that will last and will
sustain your finances. By eco-friendly we mean using products that
have a low carbon footprint (how much energy it takes to
produce a product) and product that will not be
depleted potential harm our ecosystems.

Being native to Asheville I have developed a great respect for our
mountains. After years of traveling I have rooted my-self back in the
beautiful mountains of WNC. I am a member of local conservation
groups such as The Access Fund, The Southeastern Climbers
Coalition and The Carolina Climbers Coalition. I am committed to
building green and sustainable homes to do my part in passing on a
beautiful WNC to future generations.

I learned about hard work at an early age by working every summer
with my uncle landscaping from the age of twelve until I was
seventeen. After I finished high school
I went into carpentry and fell in love with building. After eight years I
decided to try my hand at business ownership and started a joint
venture for three years. On April 5, 2007 I received a general
contractor’s license and have been dedicated to building quality
and green homes ever sense.
